You Know You're a Cougar when...

You know you're a BYU Cougar when...

You take a huge double stroller overflowing with blankets, diaper bags, baby bjorns, coats, snacks, and two kids under the age of two (Oh how I wish I had a picture of that stroller) to your mission reunion, all of your family decked out in Cougargear (Tim would have it no other way), and then afterward haul it all up the hill, running, to Cougar Stadium to snuggle and love as you show your son the Cougars play football for the first time.

The Friday Night Lights were awesome as we entered. It was SO SO fun.

Yes we changed a diaper on the steps right next to the police officer paroling our section.

Yes Trent was mesmerized with the sometimes strange band members that sit in the section right next to us.

And how do we know we've really arrived?

Every time Trent sees the letter "Y" he starts rolling his arms and shouting, "GOOOOOOO (as he rolls and then throws his fist in the airs) Cougars!!"

Yes. We know we're Cougars for sure now.

Superheros and Mullets

I have never really liked Halloween. But when hubby gets that "I gotta dance" look in his eye, I'm all for it. Tim never took his eye off the ball. He was the best Thriller Mullet dancer that ever was.

Seriously stinkin' adorable watching Trent dance along side Ever-so-serious Dancing Daddy. I promise you would have loved it. The ward formed a small paparazzi around Tim to document his moves.

Trent, our Superman.

Kind of broke my toe, or something, the day before. So it was big, fuzzy, roomy boots for me.

The Infamous Mullet Man.

Our little candy girl. (Her shirt says, 'Got Candy?' Hahaha. Candy = Candice? She got that!)

Our Halloween night with Tim's Fam. And the loot.

It was SO fun to go trick-or-treating with Trent for the first time. I can't wait for next year! Can you imagine being two years old and your parents put funny clothes on, dad starts dancing with a whole bunch of people, they put funny clothes on me, and then every door I go to they hold out candy for me to take and keep! What is going on? I LOVE this!

I've decided that I LOVE Halloween having kids!

Scrapping or Socializing

So I am trying to decide if I want to treat my blog like a scrapbook, and include every photo I want to keep and every commentary I want to make on my blog, posting for personal history, since I want to print it out sooner or later. OR if I should continue to post just highlights since I blog to be social too.

A lot of this is because Tim and I take A LOT of photos now. So. Could be overwhelming for me to keep up with and for the readers too. It's that whole, 'I don't want to scrapbook it twice' thought.

What do you think? I bet you have been on the fence about this too. Any thoughts?

Da Brudders!!!

I complained about it for a while. Cried about it for...two years. Two years plus actually. But my brothers actually did come home! They came home exactly a week before Hadley was born. (Remember the craziness of their Sacrament Meeting Homecoming being 36 hours after she was born? Haha. I remember that. I remember that well. We were walking through the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, my dad asked when I was going to have the baby (as if I knew), and then told me it would be at least a week. 'She was too high' (in my belly) he said. Yeah, I remember that. I remember pushing her out three hours after that.)

These are some of the best moments on earth for me. The moments that feel like what heaven must be like: welcoming a child into the world, returning home to your family from a mission, and welcoming home siblings from well-served missions.

Smiles. Tears. Kisses. Slobbery kisses. (The twins FIRST kisses as RMs. Haha.)

This was the first time Trent met Clint and Corey. And also the first time they met my brother's wife Allison. We were all happy to introduce them to one another. And I was so happy to welcome them home! So glad there is the possibility of a Celestial moment like this, together forever someday.

It was so funny when Trent when in for a kiss from Clint and Corey. They were definitely hesitant. 'Wait. I'm not suppose to kiss. What's happening? AGH!?!?!' I bet money that is exactly what they were thinking. Can you hear their voices? They definitely said it, just like that, with an increasing crescendo and a big fat 'AGH!'

Remembering me telling you about Heaven? My parents live there?
Over the river and through the woods.

Ahhh. We've arrived.

We go there. We went there. We loved!

The Park.
The amazing park, I should say.

Miranda, my sister, at the top.

Do you see Trent's little head up in the slide there?

The zipline.

Back at Grandma and Grandpa's. The tramp.

The patio.

The view!

Lucky. The dog.

THE game.
(My parents and brothers visited the actual Carcassone in France while picking up my brothers from the missions.)

The cows. (Being fed milk as calves. The same which are now big and fat. And ugly. About to be 'put on ice' according to Dad.)

The horses. Being on the saddle truly feels like home.

Nana.

And the happy and super-loved Grandson...

...who now needs a nap.

(And throwing it in there. My brothers, and my cousins. Eight grandkids for my grandparents in all, four of them twins. Yep! That's right! 50% twins!)

And don't even go there, cause I know where you're going.
And I am not going to have twins.
